"Maximillian", nicknamed Max is a terrific piece of Birch I bought at a wood show up in Scroon Lake, New York. It has wonderful grain and was lots of fun to carve. I double carved this piece because I did not like how it came out the first time and have been experimenting with curls and flowing hair.
